The Cook Inlet at 9 p.m. Yes, I said 9 p.m. The sun doesn't set in Anchorage until about 10:30 p.m. during early May. Amazing.

The tides in the Cook Inlet have a 25 foot vertical rise each cycle. Thus, they end up with significant mud flats during low tide.
