What a view! This is the view from the deck off of our bedroom. We were staying on the east side of Oahu, the Windward side.

The back yard of the unit. That's Mardi exploring the lush tropical vegetation.
Mardi continuing to explore the backyard.
What a beautiful morning! This is what we see outside of our bedroom in the morning. Wow!
Mardi, straight out of bed, admiring the view!
A closer view of the highly eroded mountainsides.
Some friends native to Hawaii recommended we search out the "Shrimp Shack". It's along the coast road on the northeast of the island, and boy is it worth the drive! Excellent shrimp from a roadside vendor!
Only in Hawaii...the menu written on a surfboard.
The Surf Shack is parked next to Ching's Store, another Oahu landmark, established in 1935.
The view from our "beach front" dining experience at Ching's Store. Okay, maybe street front is a better description.
The beach across the highway from Ching's Store and the Shrimp Shack. Yes, that dude's asleep in the lawn chair. Not a bad nap spot in my opinion!
Ching's Store and the Shrimp Shack were a happening place! I love places that advertise gourmet shrimp dishes, Korean chicken, and fishing supplies!
As the afternoon wore on, the rain clouds moved in.
Looking pretty heavy up there!
Ah, the next morning. Yes, another beautiful sunrise!
One of my favorites of the group.
Another of my favorites.
Our little one bedroom apartment. It's built on the end of a residence.
The hammock and grill area are nice and secluded.
A view of the back deck and the view.
My honey on the beach at Kailua Bay on east Oahu. Yes, the water is that blue!
Just relaxing!
